Privacy Policy

Playdate ("we," "us") helps parents coordinate playdates within trusted, invite-only friend groups. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account: your email address and name, provided when you sign in (via email magic link or Google).

Profiles you create:information you choose to add about your children (such as first name, age, grade, routines, allergies, and interests). You decide what to enter; only enter what you're comfortable sharing with your trusted friends.

Activity in the app: your availability statuses, the circles and friends you create, activities you post or join, and messages you send.

How we use information

We use your information solely to operate the service: to show your availability and activities to the friends you choose, to deliver messages, and to keep the app working. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How information is shared

Sharing is controlled by you. Your availability is visible only to friends you place in a circle you've shared with. Friends connect by invite link only — there is no public directory or search. Children's profile details are visible only to your connected friends.

We use trusted service providers to run the app: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Resend (sending login emails), and Google (optional sign-in). These providers process data on our behalf.

Children's information

Playdate is intended for use by parents and guardians (adults), not by children. Information about children is entered by their own parent or guardian and shared only within that parent's chosen circles. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or remove your profile, kids, circles, and activities at any time in the app. You can delete your entire account and all associated data from Settings → Delete account; this permanently removes your data.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our database.
